I must admit I am a bit of a sucker for hats; beanies, woolies and a bobble pom pom, you name it I have them. Not so much caps though, I dont suit them!
I think hats are a must have accessory in anyones wardrobe, they can be worn to keep warm or purely as a fashion item. Something to go to to finish of a certain outfit maybe, it doesn’t really matter what your reason, there still a classic favourite.
I was recently approached by a company called Tramp Menswear and was asked to review one of their beanies. Beanies were never my go to hat, but the colours on offer were really eye catching so I agreed to take closer look. When the hat arrived it was well packaged in a box with the company logo.
The hat itself came in a bag and neatly wrapped in tissue paper with a little company sticker to keep it together. Under the packaging there was a note written for me, a really nice touch, simple yet it makes it personal.
I didn’t know what to expect from the brand but after browsing the website, they impressed me with the clothing they have to offer.
Like I mentioned I was sent a beanie, I opted for the Mustard yellow, but they also come in Green, Burgundy, Grey and Navy. The mustard just seemed to stand out a bit more to me. The hat itself is a good size, not too big not too small. I think I have quite a large head on my shoulders and the hat fit nice and snug. The material is a soft knit. No scratchiness here! The Tramp logo badge is also stitched on to the beanie.
The hat has a quality look and feel about it, it was very warm and comfortable to wear. It has certainly been tested in the elements this week with a good combination of wind, rain, hail and snow! I can firmly say my head stayed comfortably dry and warm throughout.
I have nearly always wore bobble hats, but after wearing this for a week I think maybe the times have changed and a beanie might be my go to hat to wear.
