The Photographic Memory Box: Inspiring Images To Last A Lifetime

We all want to treasure and hold onto the memories we make with our families. Special moments can pass by in the blink of an eye and in the age of digital photographs and iPhone cameras it can be difficult to preserve these physical memories. I am going to share with you a few ideas to make those important events last a lifetime. Create your own memory box full of photographs and trinkets which you can pass down to your little ones. Retain those perfect images of your kids and keep those recollections alive for the whole family. Follow these simple concepts and you will soon build up a collection of everlasting memoirs which you can look back on and be proud of.

Tick Off The Technology

Before you can think about starting up the memory box you need to get equipped with the relevant tools. Firstly, if you want to start taking beautiful photographs you will want to invest in a good quality camera, now a mobile will suffice, but ideally a good DSLR or SLR camera should be on your shopping list. Go to your local digital shop (MPB is a good second hand online store) and ask for some of the best models for what you want to do. Cameras can vary in price, so don’t overspend if it isn’t quite within your budget. Some of the lower end cameras can still capture extremely high quality images. Equally, if you don’t feel up to investing in a new photographing device, then take a quick online course in the best ways to shoot images with your phone. There will be handy hints which you didn’t know about and it will assist you in getting the best out of your mobile device. The whole point of a memory box is that you can create a tangible copy of your images. Make sure that your printer supports your chosen camera or phone and get the correct leads which will link up your devices efficiently. Make sure you’re fully stocked up on printer ink cartridges too. You don’t want to get behind on printing off your pictures, so be sure to have a load of cartridges ready and waiting.

Family Fun

The most exciting element of creating a box full of memorable moments is that you can share the activity with your whole family. Get everybody involved in the process and make it an ongoing hobby for you all to enjoy together. Bonding together after a big family event or talking about your favourite part of a holiday can really bring you and your little ones together. Allow them to input their own thoughts and ideas into the memory box and start-up fun creative activities which are centred on it. Perhaps you could get them to draw a picture of their new pet or create a poem which describes their birthday. Those personal touches will really make it special and allows them to feel involved in the project.

Capturing The Moment

Never forget to take your camera out with you and capture each special moment. You don’t want to be one of those people who are constantly snapping away whilst their child poses, but sometimes it can get you great images. You should also try and capture your family looking natural and truly enjoying themselves during special occasions. Don’t be afraid to ask other people to get some pictures of you with them too, after all you don’t want to be missing from them all!
