Personalised gifts for Mothers day – Dom and Geri Review

Ahh Mothers Day, once again another time of year that stresses us males out with the dread of what we can buy or do to make the day memorable. Buying for both my own mother (who happens to have her birthday the same month too!!!) and the mother to my two sons a gift honestly fills me with dread. I long for the missus to drop me a subtle hint so I at least have some idea!

However this year I was approached by a company called Dom and Geri. Enter this years saviour – as they specialise in personalised gifts, wrapping paper and cards. Get in!

After having a browse about their website, it really impressed me with the wide range of Mothers Day gifts they offered. What I particularly liked about the site was when you choose a wrapping paper it automatically then hand chooses a matching card for you. Now of course you don’t have to choose that recommendation but its nice that it gives you a suitable match rather than having to trail through yourself for a card. You don’t have to take their suggestion but I would probably quite comfortably say 95% of men will take this easy option.

The range of cards and wrapping paper alone is vast and has a wide variety that would suit all of your needs. As I have 2 young sons that would be requiring a gift for their devoted Mammy – I opted for a paper that suited a Childs choice. I did give my eldest Zach a choice of a few to see which one he liked the best but I got the typical “threenager” response of; I WANT ALL OF THEM DAD!!  Typical eyy? So the paper design I chose myself had an image of two boys on which looks as though a child has drawn. A really nice touch I think.

The paper and cards can then be personalised in different ways with either your own pictures or text. The paper design I chose, I was then able to add both of my sons names to the paper, which adds a further lovely personal touch. The paper is a nice thick quality – you know not the sort that rips like a sharks tooth is going through it the second you try to wrap up even the squarest of parcels!

The wrapping paper itself comes in a variety of sizes, from a small sheet of A2, right up to a 7 meter roll supplied in a tube for extra protection. The cards also come in 2 different sizes, A5 and A4.

The site also offers many other personalised gift options, such as champagne, gin, ales and even candles for a multitude of occasions. Another great thing about Dom and Geri is that if you order before 2pm on a weekday your item is dispatched that very same day and can be either sent 1st class or special delivery – meaning if you do leave it till the last minute you still have a chance to get something special in time.

So at least this year even if the gift inside is a terrible choice she will be so distracted by the wonderful and thoughtful card and wapping paper that I will be onto a winner anyways! Bonus!

You can impress your own Mam, or Mother to your children by heading here and ordering pronto!
