#Gifted My kids love toys, and I mean real toys, like action figures, board games, role play…just anything that gets the imagination going.

What they will never understand is the quality of toys I had when I was younger. I feel there is no comparison. The action figures I used to play with were pretty much indestructible. Not only was the quality good but the limbs even moved in all directions, making the play more enjoyable as the figures represented the human mechanics.

Today’s Toys

Toys today just aren’t like this, the build is cheaper, and they move around like the tin man (pre oil) from The Wizard of Oz, they just aren’t good.

Now that I have children I have a valid excuse of playing with toys, admittedly I havent grown up much.

I was recently contacted to review the Ben 10 Omni Cycle. Now I was definately intrigued as we have similar figures from another brand that are like the dreaded tin man, so I was curious as to what this would be like.

Looking at the box I could tell you straight away that toy is different. It got me a bit excited, a bit too excited to be honest, I wanted to play with it, but I had 2 eager children standing over me, hurrying me on to break open the box.

Ben 10 Figure

Starting with Ben 10 himself, the figure is actually built really well and has a little bit of weight to it, but the best part about this figure, which you may have already guessed. All the limbs move as they should…..YEYYYY!!! An actual figure where the pivot points of the joints actually move the way they should.

To some people this may not be that exciting, but when you’re a child that has grew up with good quality toys to now living in the modern age of and let’s be honest here, rubbish toys- then this is a big deal.

Children can get more creative in their play when they have the freedom of moving the figures around to suit the play.

The arms and legs, move, twist and turn which again is – in my eyes a big deal here.

Honestly when I realised this my kids didn’t really understand why I was excited, but after explaining and showing them, Ben 10 has been jumping, swinging and climbing all over the house.

My eldest wanted to take it to school to show everyone.

The Omni Cycle

I bet you forgot that this toy isn’t just the action figure? But it actually comes with its own 3 wheeled motorbike. In fact its not only a motorbike, but it also transforms into a hovercraft. And it is really easy to transform both ways. Phew!

The Ben 10 Omni Cycle is an all round great children’s toy.
Both my children have been fighting for whose turn next it is to play with it, but guess who won?? Daddy of course, not just for kids you know.
