2018 was a good year for photography. I explored new and old places and found some good locations to add to the list. and with those locations came some amazing photography. Some of the images I took I personally think they are breathtaking and some are just okay, but however you look at them im quite pleased with how they all turned out.
Ive wrote quite a few blog posts on photography and added them to a few blog link ups along the way and with the news of MySundayPhoto ending I decided to start my own up MyPhotoFriday.
With Christmas over and the new year starting Ive been reflecting on the past year and some of my favourite shots as well looking forward to 2019s adventures.
Lets take a look at some of my best shots
Stockton Fireworks
Blog Post
This was some night and the results were even better. This is probably one of the best shots I’ve taken and edited in a long time. Stockton really does have one of the best displays around here in the North East.
Photographing the Milky Way
Blog Post
You cant ask for a better view than this. seeing the milky way is simply breathtaking and being able to photograph it like this in the north east is a wow moment. Kielder has one of the best dark night sky spots in the uk so if you ar travelling around here then make sure to visit Kielder Forest.
Making Family Memories
Blog Post
This image isn’t really about the actual image with the memory it brings to me. We bought a folding camper last year and this was one of the images from our first trips up to Seahouses in Northumberland. we couldn’t have asked for better weather and a better holiday so the image ties to the memory.
Holidays in the Lake District
Blog Post
Another holiday memory as this was the last time we used the Folding camper before it was sold. Rayrigg Meadows is located on the edge of Windermere. We spent a lot of time down by the water and had an amazing holiday. I never really got any images believe it or not, this was one of them where I actually went out early morning for sunset and was greeted with a lot of drama and mood instead.
What for 2019?
Plans for 2019 – Well I have a few and this year Im making more achievable ones as last year time wasn’t on my side.
So I will be continuing to write one photography blog post per week and then 1 video vlog per fortnight. at the end of 2019 I will be selling Calendars so if you want to keep informed and up to date you can subscribe to my mailing list.
I have a few other ideas in the pipeline for my Youtube channel too so if you want to then head over there and drop a subscribe.
